Sparring Partners by Sensa Fili: Open RAN - The path to 6G

Sparring Partners: Open RAN - The path to 6G

A conversation with Ravi Sinha at the O-RAN ALLIANCE and Monica Paolini at Senza Fili.

We are still in the 5G and 5G Advanced phase, but it is good to take a peek at where 6G may take us in the evolution towards an open RAN – and possibly beyond what we now call Open RAN.
In this Sparring Partner, I will talk with Ravi Sinha at O-RAN Alliance about multiple RAN evolution paths from 5G/5G-A to 6G that will open the RAN beyond the fronthaul interface:

  • AI-driven evolution in deploying, testing, monitoring and optimizing the RAN
  • Open interfaces, disaggregation and virtualization
  • Open RAN in small cells, neutral host and private networks
  • RIC, xApps, rApps, SMO
  • Enabling the metaverse, digital twins, and new services
  • Resiliency, security, infrastructure and spectrum sharing
  • Energy efficiency and sustainability

This 60min. talk is scheduled on September 21, 2023 | 7 am PDT | 10 am EDT | 3 pm BST | 4 pm CEST
