O-RAN ALLIANCE and University of New Hampshire (UNH-IOL) Workshop on Open Source

The O-RAN ALLIANCE Open Source Focus Group (OSFG) and University of New Hampshire Interoperability Lab (UNH-IOL) are co-sponsoring a workshop on Open Source, to bring together projects and community participants from the end-to-end ecosystem (RAN-to-Core-Infrastructure), to promote alignment and integration between the projects.

The purpose of the workshop is to reflect on the role of open source for O-RAN and to identify the necessary steps to revisit the O-RAN open source vision, strategy and roadmap and its relationship to other complementary and overlapping projects and communities.

The two day event will kick off with introductions from various open source projects. Followed by breakout working tracks, where each team will discuss alignment between the various related projects.

Then, the agenda will break out to BOF discussions. The intention for each BOF topic track is to bring together interested parties to discuss details relating to the specific projects in the focus areas, and determine how / what steps the projects can take to enable and promote cross-project integration and collaboration in their area.  Each BOF track will then provide a readout, back to the whole group, proceeding on their discussion and outcomes, seeking additional feedback and “buy-in” from the larger community.

The event is open to all participants from the industry, O-RAN ALLIANCE membership is not a requirement. In-person and virtual attendance will both be supported.
