At MWC Las Vegas 2024, O-RAN ALLIANCE participants will present seven demos of their latest O-RAN based solutions.
Demonstrations showcase innovations in areas of network capacity and spectrum efficiency improvements, O-RAN testing, network equipment, automation, and indoor positioning.
One demo will be presented on-site and all demos will be ready for virtual visit at the O-RAN Virtual Exhibition before the start of MWC Las Vegas.
The demos are:
- Accuver showcases AEGIS-O, an advanced O-RAN E2E and IOT test solution. At the O-RAN PlugFest hosted by LG U+, the tool validated the integration of a Korean vendor's O-RU with Nokia and third-party O-CU/O-DU, demonstrating its capability in automated O-RAN testing. Visit the demo at Accuver Booth 1152.
- ARA-OTIC showcases an at-scale multi-cell O-RAN testbed in rural Iowa, featuring NI SDRs and open-source technologies on COTS servers. This platform aims to advance O-RAN research and its applications in precision agriculture and UAS, offering a real-world environment for innovation in essential sectors.
- Artiza Networks showcases the Fronthaul Monitor, aimed at tackling O-RAN open fronthaul connectivity issues in multi-vendor settings. Through a virtual demo, they present testing methods for RAN and illustrate typical use cases where the Fronthaul Monitor aids in isolating connectivity problems.
- Cohere showcases the Universal Spectrum Multiplier, a breakthrough innovation enabled by the Open RAN platform. Utilizing the E2 Interface on the CU/DU, it enables external innovation via the near real-time RIC and xApp, democratizing access previously limited to CU/DU builders.
- EURECOM, Red Hat, and partners present their continuous testing reference implementation consistent with O-RAN standards. Continuous testing aims to enhance the software stack's quality, stability, and interoperability. The demonstration highlights the O-RAN-compliant open fronthaul, 3GPP F1 and E1 interfaces, and the Near-RT RIC E2 interface.
- Inventec showcases an indoor positioning rAPP via the O-RAN architecture's RIC platform, enhancing smart factory operations. This integration boosts production management through Digital Twins, revolutionizing manufacturing efficiency and operational capabilities by leveraging 5G technology for a new digital transformation era in the sector.
- LIONS showcases 5G O-RAN white box Radio Units featuring 8T8R MIMO, 40W/channel output, and digital beamforming. Supporting design, interoperability, technology transfer, EMS referral, and turnkey manufacturing, LIONS bridges the gap from concept to implementation, crucial for advancing O-RAN standardization and flexible deployment options in 5G networks.
- LitePoint showcases the IQFR1-RU, the first integrated tester for 3GPP 5G NR RF downlink/uplink and O-RAN C/U/M/S-plane interfaces. This innovation is crucial for comprehensive and efficient evaluation of 5G FR1 O-RAN Radio Units, advancing industry testing standards.
