Hakim Achouri

Working at Airbus as a Telecom Expert for Digital Aviation. Member of the Airbus 5G Strategy Group, 6G for Aviation working group and Chairing the Digital Industries forum at GSMA. His work consists in building the strategic roadmap and designing a worldwide architecture towards a 5G connected Factory and the future of Connected Aircraft. Building data & user centric solutions for factory 4.0 digitalization, Connected Aircraft (remote predictive maintenance and future of passenger connectivity).

Chih-Lin I

Chih-Lin I is CMCC Chief Scientist of Wireless Technologies. She received Ph.D. EE from Stanford University. She has won 2005 IEEE ComSoc Stephen Rice Prize, 2018 IEEE ComSoc Fred W. Ellersick Prize, the 7th IEEE Asia-Pacific Outstanding Paper Award, and 2015 IEEE Industrial Innovation Award for Leadership and Innovation in Next-Generation Cellular Wireless Networks.

She is the Chair of O-RAN Technical Steering Committee and an O-RAN Executive Committee Member, the Chair of FuTURE 5G/6G SIG, the Chair of WAIA (Wireless AI Alliance) Executive Committee, an Executive Board Member of GreenTouch, a Network Operator Council Founding Member of ETSI NFV, a Steering Board Member and Vice Chair of WWRF, a Steering Committee member and the Publication Chair of IEEE 5G and Future Networks Initiatives, the Founding Chair of IEEE WCNC Steering Committee, the Director of IEEE ComSoc Meetings and Conferences Board, a Senior Editor of IEEE Trans. Green Comm. & Networking, an Area Editor of ACM/IEEE Trans. Networking; Executive Co-chair of IEEE Globecom 2020, IEEE WCNC 2007, IEEE WOCC 2004 and 2000; a member of IEEE ComSoc SDB, SPC, and CSCN-SC, and a Scientific Advisory Board Member of Singapore NRF.

She has published over 200 papers in scientific journals, book chapters and conferences and holds over 100 patents. She is co-author of the book “Green and Software-defined Wireless Networks -- From Theory to Practice” and has also Co-edited two books: “Ultra-dense Networks -- Principles and Applications” and “5G Networks -- Fundamental Requirements, Enabling Technologies, and Operations Management”. She is a Fellow of IEEE and a Fellow of WWRF. Her current research interests center around ICDT Deep Convergence: “From Green & Soft to Open & Smart”.

Petr Ledl

Petr Lédl is VP of Network Trials and Integration Lab and chief architect of Access Disaggregation program. His main responsibility is identification, prototyping and technical evaluation of future mobile network technologies and related concepts (mainly 5G, LTE-A/Pro, Managed connectivity, etc.) and defining and implementing DTAG disaggregated RAN architecture based on O-RAN principles. He studied Electrical Engineering at Czech Technical University in Prague between 1995 and 2004. Since 2003 he has been working on different positions in Technology organizations of Deutsche Telekom and T-Mobile Czech Republic.

Abdurazak Mudesir

As Group CTO, Abdu is responsible for Deutsche Telekom’s Technology Strategy, Architecture & Innovation and Strategic Vendor Management. In addition, Abdu is Managing Director of Technology for Telekom Germany. Prior to this, Abdu served as SVP Services & Platforms and group chief architect. He joined Deutsche Telekom in April 2018 from Huawei Technologies where he held the role as Vice President of 5G Europe. Abdu holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and completed the Executive Management Program at Stanford University in California.

Matteo Fiorani

Dr. Matteo Fiorani is Head of Distributed Unit, Infrastructure and Security at Ericsson. In his role, Matteo is responsible for steering Ericsson product strategy on Cloud RAN, Open RAN and Cybersecurity. Matteo leads a team of strategic product managers and he is part of the Ericsson Cloud RAN Product Line. Before this role, Matteo was a Strategic Product Manager for 5G focusing on bringing 5G software features into Ericsson products.

Matteo has also a long experience in standardization having been for one year the chair of a work-group in the O-RAN Alliance and for two years a standardization delegate in 3GPP. Matteo holds a PhD in Information and Communications Technology from the University of Modena in Italy, and a Postdoc from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. Matteo was also a visiting researcher at Columbia University and University of California Davis in the USA.

Sadayuki Abeta

Dr Sadayuki Abeta is global head of open RAN solutions and OREX evangelist in NTT DOCOMO for creating open RAN ecosystem globally and shaping them to meet customer and service provider needs.

Since joining NTT DOCOMO, INC in 1997, He has been working for research, standardization and development of the UMTS/W-CDMA, HPSA, LTE, LTE-Advanced and 5G. From 2005 to 2009, he was a vice chairman of 3GPP TSG-RAN WG1 and rapporteur of LTE and LTE-Advanced in 3GPP TSG RAN WG1. He is an O-RAN executive committee member. From 2018-2022, he was a General Manager of the Radio Access Network Development Department, which is responsible for development of LTE, 5G, X-haul and satellite communications.

He received the Ph.D. degrees in electrical communication engineering from Osaka University, Osaka, Japan in 1997.

Ye Ouyang

Dr. Ye Ouyang, IEEE Fellow, serves as CTO and SVP at AsiaInfo Technologies. He is primarily responsible for setting AsiaInfo’s direction of technology and product leadership and overseeing the corporate’s global R&D and innovation activities. Dr. Ouyang is also a Distinguished Professor at Tsinghua University and a Member of President’s Leadership Council at Stevens Institute of Technology. Prior to AsiaInfo, Dr. Ouyang served as a Verizon Fellow and Senior Manager at Verizon. His recent work focuses on cross-domain innovation and the commercialization of cutting-edge technologies incellular networks, AI, and data science.
Dr. Ouyang has received numerous awards in both industry and academia, with recent honors including: Forbes 100 Most Influential Chinese Selection Award, Asian American Engineer of the Year, and Top 100 Diverse Leaders in Tech by US National Diversity Council.
Dr. Ouyang has authored over 60 academic papers, 160 patents, 180 standards, and 13 books. He holds a Ph.D. from Stevens Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Engineering from Southeast University in China, a Master of Science from Tufts University, and a Master of Science from Columbia University in the City of New York.

Amanda Toman

Amanda Toman directs NTIA's Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund, a $1.5 billion grant program devoted to advancing the development and deployment of open, interoperable networks. Prior to joining the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, Ms. Toman spent two decades spearheading research and development initiatives at the Department of Defense related to 5G, Future G, counterterrorism, and biofabrication. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Virginia Tech with a concentration in Biomaterials.

Francisco Martin Pignatelli

Francisco (Paco) Martín Pignatelli is a Vodafone Executive +24 years of Experience in Mobile. He´s worked internationally in various Global positions in US and UK and has great breadth of experience in all Network domains as well as some customer facing positions. He´s more recently focused in OPEN RAN, an activity he leads in Vodafone as Head of OPEN RAN, an effort he pioneered in 2016 that´s grown to become the most relevant trend in mobile today, with Vodafone as one of the leading promoters. Paco is Alternate Board Member of the O-RAN ALLIANCE.

Luca Lodigiani

Luca works as a Staff Network Architect at Aalyria Technologies Spacetime division, acting as a Chief Architect for Aalyria's Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and Direct-to-cell/Direct-to-device activities. He specializes in new technology development around 4G/5G/B5G and future 6G in both Terrestrial and Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN).

Luca comes from a position as Principal Systems Architect at Viasat (previously Inmarsat), with 8 years of experience in System Architecture and Engineering working on various projects, including end-to-end architecture and product requirements for Viasat's NTN and Direct-to-device programmes.

Luca also acts as Aalyria's lead delegate in 3GPP, and co-chair of the ESA NTN Forum Working Group 2 on Vertical Requirements, and was previously lead of mobile standards at Viasat across 3GPP, GSOA, GSMA, GCF and SSIG.

Rob Soni

Rob Soni is responsible for all aspects of AT&T’s RAN architecture and infrastructure technical road maps for hardware and software, including baseband units, radios, antennas and all ancillary components. In addition, his team oversees certification and development for RAN hardware, software and features. His team drives AT&T’s strategy and contributions to global standards and to technical industry and government organizations.

David Kinsey

David Kinsey, started his career as a software developer focusing on wireless communications and network management. He currently co-chairs Working Group 10 (OAM) in the O-RAN. He also co-chairs the OSC with its several open-source projects which show specific aspects of the overall O-RAN Architecture

Jan Ellsberger

Jan Ellsberger is a globally recognised leader in the ICT industry with more than 30 years of experience with research and innovation, industry ecosystem development, standardisation, policy development & regulation, and strategy development in the telecommunications and automotive industries. From 2000-2012 he was leading Ericsson’s global standardisation operations. He has also served in leading positions in several industry associations such as 3GPP, 5GAA, ERTICO and the Horizon Europe CCAM Association.

Shinya Shimada

Mr. Shimada is responsible for promoting international cooperation projects in the digital field such as 5G/Open RAN, subsea cable, data center and satellite. His professional career within the MIC includes telecom/audiovisual legislation such as the Telecommunications Business Act, Radio Act and Broadcasting Act, promotion of international cooperation such as Japanese Digital TV Standards, and engagement in organizational reforms of the Ministry to establish the Global Strategy Bureau.He also served as Chief Strategy Officer of a start-up company in Northern Virginia for 4 years and launched a new data business in the U.S. by temporarily leaving his office, and served as a diplomat at the Permanent Delegation to the OECD in Paris for 3 years.He graduated from Northwestern University School of Law in 2006 with an LL. M. with honors.

Ulrich Dropmann

Ulrich heads the external standardization engagement for Nokia. He is responsible for global and regional standardization including radio spectrum aspects. Ulrich is a Vice President and Executive Committee member of the Global Mobile Supplier Association (GSA). He also serves in the Board of the Metaverse Standards Forum. Between 2022 and 2024, he served as a board member to the Innovative Optical and Wireless Network Global Forum (IOWN-GF). From 2018 to 2022 he was also Board Member of the 5G Association for Connected Industries and Automation (5G-ACIA).

Prior to his current role Ulrich was responsible for Nokia Networks Industry Environment activities. Between 2007 and 2012 Ulrich lead the NSN 3GPP standardization team and has served as Head of Delegation to 3GPP.

Between 1996 and 2007, Ulrich held various positions in R&D of Siemens Mobile Networks unit. He was responsible for standardization activities of the core network business unit and managed Siemens 3GPP activities. Ulrich had instrumental role in the definition of the UMTS architecture as well as in set up of project management in 3GPP.

Ulrich holds a Ph.D. from Télécom ParisTech from 1996; his research area was the definition of 3G Radio Interface and his research was part of EU collaborative research program (RACE II ATDMA). He holds a Master Degree (Dipl-Ing) in Telecommunication from the RWTH, Aachen from 1992.

Bernard Bureau

Mr. Bernard Bureau is Vice-president of Wireless Strategy and Services, part of the TELUS CTO team. He has end-to-end technical accountability for TELUS’ wireless networks as well as for spectrum, radio access network and devices. Since he joined TELUS in 1997, Mr. Bureau has held several management positions, where he played an instrumental leadership role for several major projects, including several spectrum auctions, as well as the rollout of 5G, LTE, LTE-A, 3G, C-RAN and HetNet. He received a Bachelor degree in Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal in 1995 and has been a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec since then. He is TELUS' primary board member of the Next Generation Mobile Networks (NGMN) Alliance.

Mueller Andreas

Dr. Andreas Mueller is a renowned expert at the forefront of connectivity research and 5G/6G innovation. Mark Atkinson

Mark Atkinson heads the Radio Access Networks (RAN) Business Unit within Nokia's Mobile Networks Business Group, overseeing one of the company's most critical areas.
With a strong focus on innovation and profitability, he is responsible for the overall business management (Profit and Loss), marketing, pricing, and solution support for Nokia's comprehensive wireless infrastructure portfolio, which spans hardware, software, services, and solutions. Nokia’s global RAN business generates nearly half of the company’s annual revenue, reflecting its strategic importance.
Mark also leads RAN Product Management, driving innovation in System on Chip technologies, Baseband and Radio products, and Network Management. By working closely with customers, his team guides the RAN R&D organization to deliver high-performance, cost-effective solutions while spearheading cutting-edge initiatives like Cloud RAN and Open RAN.
With an extensive background in telecommunications, Mark began his career in 1997 at Siemens Mobile Networks, now Nokia Networks, as a GSM Sales Engineer. Over the years, he has taken on pivotal roles, including Senior Vice President of 5G and Vice President of Small Cells, where he played a key role in turning emerging technologies into mainstream successes.
In addition to his telecom expertise, Mark has demonstrated his versatility in the automotive infotainment industry. From 2001 to 2004, he held senior key account management roles at Harman International, serving tier-1 automotive customers across Europe.
Born in England, Mark moved to Munich, Germany, after completing his university studies in 1997. His international outlook was shaped by diverse senior roles in sales, business development, and product management across regions including Germany, Southeast Asia, South Africa, China, and the USA. His global journey has taken him from Munich to Beijing, Shanghai, and Chicago, before returning to Munich and ultimately relocating to Wroclaw, Poland, in July 2023.

Kei Ando

Kei Ando is a Manager at the RAN Access Network Technology Promotion Office at NTT DOCOMO. With over a decade of experience, he has contributed to the standardization, development, and implementation of 4G LTE and 5G NR technologies. Through his work with the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), he has driven key technologies such as carrier aggregation, 4x4 MIMO, and 256QAM, enhancing the throughput of LTE-Advanced. He has also promoted global frequency harmonization for 5G NR.

Currently, he serves as the co-chair of the O-RAN ALLIANCE’s working group on open fronthaul interfaces, focusing on enhancing the openness, interoperability, and flexibility of RAN components. This initiative contributes to building the critical foundations for future 5G and 6G networks.

Awn Muhammad

Awn Muhammad is Head of Technical Standards at Rakuten Mobile and has over 16 years of experience in mobile networks, specializing in RAN planning, feature development, and standardization. He is an active contributor to the O-RAN ALLIANCE, serving as Co-Chair of the Sustainability Focus Group (SuFG) and MVP-C Network Energy Savings Feature Rapporteur.

Nagendra Bykampadi

Nagendra brings more than 28 years of experience in the wireless industry. He has extensive experience in security, having worked in various capacities as a standards specialist, Security Architect, Security Specifications Engineer, and product technical lead. In his current role in Rakuten Symphony, he leads a team of security professionals that oversee security of Rakuten Symphony’s cloud native products, contributes to security ORAN standards, and prototypes security controls for next-gen telco architecture. He is also serving as the co-chair of the O-RAN Alliance Security Work Group (WG11) that’s defining security specifications for O-RAN architecture.

Bertrand Rojat

Bertrand Rojat has been working for over 25 years in the telecommunication, IT and web industry,taking positions in France and in the United States, with a wide range of responsibilities fromengineering to marketing, strategy, innovation and business development. More recently at Orange,he was successively General Manager of the business unit providing IT infrastructure services toenterprise customers in France, and VP marketing for the SMB market, launching a new generationof Internet box and Saas Services. He was then in charge, within the innovation division of theOrange’s group, of open innovation, notably through the Orange Fab start-up acceleration program.Today, as Chief Technology Officer of Orange Events and Innovation Lead of the Orange Paris 2024program team, he brings the technologies, innovations, and know-how of the Orange Group toresponds to the high requirements of large sporting, institutional and cultural events.Entrepreneurship and innovative management at the service of building on new opportunities havealways been his rule.

Gerardo Giaretta

Gerardo Giaretta currently serves as vice president of product management at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. where he manages the 5G infrastructure business and comprehensive products portfolio.

Gerardo holds over 20 years of experience in the wireless communications industry including 16-plus years with Qualcomm. Since joining in 2007, he has held a variety of roles in research, system design, standardization, and product management. In fact, Gerardo was the first 5G product manager through the 5G acceleration process and oversaw the launch of Snapdragon X50, the first 5G device chipset. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Gerardo was part of the standardization team for Telecom Italia.

Gerardo holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Padua in Italy. Additionally, he has been granted more than 70 U.S. patents.

Iain Sharp

Iain Sharp started his career in mobile standards by contributing to the definition of GSM Phase 1. Since then he has been involved with every generation and has served as Vice-Chair of 3GPP CT Plenary. Mr. Sharp is currently Principal Technologist at the North American 3GPP Organizational Partner ATIS and manages the interface between ATIS and 3GPP. He is also a technical advisor to ATIS initiatives including the Open RAN Minimum Viable Profile (MVP) and the ATIS Open RAN Committee.

Gabriel Brown

Gabriel leads mobile network research for Heavy Reading. His coverage includes system architecture, RAN, core, and service-layer platforms. Key research topics include 5G, open and AI RAN, mobile core, and network cloud. Gabriel has more than 20 years’ experience as a mobile network industry analyst.

Daejung Kim

Dr. DaeJung KIM is currently VP and the head of Standardization division in TTA. Dr. KIM has been serving as a project manager to governmental R&D projects such as "International Standardization of ICT”, ”Mobile communication standardization & evaluation and Standard Development for 3GPP.

Dr. KIM coordinates TTA s standardization efforts in the field of mobile & wireless communication and broadcasting in domestic and worldwide standardization organizations such as ITU-R SGs, WRC, 3GPPs etc.

Dr. KIM is now serving as Vice-chair of AWG (APT Wireless Group). His current main activities are to coordinate the standardization activities in all ICT fields including 5G/6G and to give the consultation to Korea government on standardization policy and spectrum matters for the future.
